Yoga became a welcome antidote to stress for Sarah in 2003, while studying at McMaster University and it has been a cherished navigational tool for life’s uncharted waters ever since.
After studying and traveling abroad; popping into yoga studios when she could, Sarah came back home to Hamilton and practised with Katie McClelland for a number of years, completely absorbed by the intoxicating ashtanga/flow style practise. Countless hours of practise and workshops later, (including Iyengar, Bikram, Moksha, Kundalini, Pre/Post-natal, and Anusara with teachers such as Seane Corn, David and Doug Swenson, Anne Green, Todd Norian, Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman) Sarah traveled to California to undergo her certification with Doug Swenson in Sadhana Yoga Chi (2009), which is an integrative form of yoga that draws on the traditions of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Power, Restorative and both moving as well as seated meditation.
She also enjoys partner yoga, yoga for children and has a special interest in the power of yoga for trauma recovery and for fully present childbirth. Sarah is sensitive to the needs of different body types, genders, generations and cultures and strives to help all people discover their most harmonious selves.
